March 20, 2020 NEWS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE TO ALL LOCAL MEDIA

ELEANOR ELLIS (PHELPS) PUBLIC LIBRARY CLOSED DUE TO COVID-19 In order to comply with Governor Evers’ Emergency Order #5 and to protect the health of our staff, our patrons, and their families, the Eleanor Ellis Public Library in Phelps is now closed to the public until further notice.

Patrons are welcome to enjoy any checked-out materials through the duration of the closure, although the library’s exterior book drop will remain open to receive returns. Any due dates occurring during the library’s closure will be extended to April 10 and beyond, if necessary.

Overdue fines occurring during the closure will be waived.

Please refer to our website at www.phelpspubliclibrary.org for updates, as we continue to monitor this situation.

And please remember that even though the building itself is closed, WiFi will remain available 24/7 in the library’s parking lot.
