Veterans day program scheduled

The School District of Phelps will be honoring our veterans during their Veterans Day Program on Friday, November 10 at 10 am in the school’s big gym under the direction of Jace Gwynn. 

The program will include presentation of colors by the Veterans of Foreign Wars-Amvets Post 8400 of Land O Lakes,  student musical and choral performances, under the direction of music teacher Lisa Duquaine, as well as student readings and speeches. 

The program’s guest speaker will be Brian Thomas, veterans service officer for Vilas County.

The program is open to community members and local veterans. Veterans and community members are invited to enjoy a lunch with the students in the commons area following the program.
