A Christmas in July animal shelter fundraiser event has been planned for Sunday, July 16 beginning at 2pm at Sand Lake Pub in Phelps. Monies collected will be divided between Wild Instincts Wildlife Rescue in Rhinelander and Northwoods Animal Shelter in Iron River, Michigan. There will be an ugly sweater contest, a special visit by Santa, music by The Marvin, 50/50 raffle, basket raffle, silent auction, door prizes, and free treats for dogs. Both animal shelters are always in need of supplies.
