The 13th annual Phelps Scarecrow Fest is Saturday, September 17, 2022, from 10 am to 5 pm in downtown Phelps. Many events including snag-a-bag boutique, craft vendors, pumpkin chuckin’, quilt/fine arts show, children’s activities, music, basket and bike raffles, and 50/50 are planned throughout the day. Create a scarecrow and possibly win a $100 cash prize voted by the crowd. Finished scarecrow needs to be at the fest no later than 11 am on Sept 17. On stage DJ Marc Ralston and Sanity & Son; homemade wine tasting noon-3pm; children’s activities sponsored by Eleanor Ellis Public Library throughout the day beginning at 10 am; prizes and winners announced at 5 pm. There will be raffle basket drawings at the woman’s club tent at 1 and 4:00pm and 50/50 drawings hourly starting at 11. Food and drinks are available to purchase. Free parking and free admission. Parking on the street and at St. Mary’s church and library parking lots. Handicap parking is behind the historical museum on highway E.
