Phelps holiday tree lighting planned

There will be a holiday tree lighting in downtown Phelps on Saturday, December 2 with festivities beginning at 4 pm and the tree lighting at 5 pm. 

Prior to the festivities at 3 pm child and adults are invited to the Phelps Eleanor Ellis Library for an ornament craft activity.  The ornament craft can then be hung on the Christmas tree downtown. 

Hot chocolate and hot dogs will be available at no charge downtown along with Christmas caroling and a visit from Santa who will be sharing treat bags. 

The event is sponsored by the Phelps Woman’s Club, town of Phelps, Phelps volunteer Fire Department, Phelps Land O’Lakes Lions Club,  Eleanor Ellis Public Library, Phelps Chamber of Commerce, and the Phelps School District.  This year’s tree was donated by Ray and Lynn Jung of Phelps.
